How it works

Your Aerial class, with more choice

In STEP UP’s Aerial Mix, the class rotates between Aerial Hoop and Aerial Sling. With around 8–9 students and the same instructor, the group moves between both apparatuses during the same session.

You do not have to follow the same balance every time. You can train on both or spend more time on hoop or fabric, depending on what you enjoy and want to develop.

01

Start together

The instructor organises the class and exercises around the group’s current level.

02

Rotate across the apparatuses

The group moves between Hoop and Sling, creating training time on both within the same class.

03

Find your own balance

Continue with both apparatuses or place more emphasis on the one that suits you best.

Aerial Hoop or Lyra at STEP UP Thessaloniki

Aerial Hoop · Lyra

A suspended metal hoop for defined lines, balances, spins and striking aerial shapes.

Aerial Sling or Hammock at STEP UP Thessaloniki

Aerial Sling · Hammock

A continuous loop of fabric for flowing sequences, supported positions and a different movement experience from the hoop.

Train on both — or focus on the one you love most

Most students want to experience both Hoop and Sling. That is why we brought them into one class instead of requiring two separate lessons.

The result: more variety, personal choice and two aerial apparatuses with one membership.

Beginner friendly

You do not need previous experience or existing strength before you start.

Gradual progress

Exercises are adapted to your level and develop step by step.

Small, organised group

The rotating format helps the group make use of both apparatuses during one class.

Central Thessaloniki

5 Stratigou Brantouna St, a few minutes from Dimokratias Square.

Do I need to choose Hoop or Sling from the beginning?

No. You can try both in the same class and decide over time where you want to place more emphasis.

Can I train only on hoop or only on fabric?

Yes. Although the class uses a rotating format, you can focus more on the apparatus you prefer in consultation with the instructor.

Do I need to be strong or flexible already?

No. Strength, balance and flexibility are developed gradually through the class.

What should I wear to my first class?

Comfortable, close-fitting clothing that covers your legs and underarms, without zips, buttons or jewellery that could catch on the fabric or hoop.

Where do classes take place?

At STEP UP Dance Studio, 5 Stratigou Brantouna St, central Thessaloniki. You can also view our current prices and packages.
